Crust is Spreading its Wings

Since we launched in March 2019, Crust CRM Suite has established itself as the de facto open-source alternative to Salesforce. Self-funded, profitable in our first year of trading and equipped with an order book delivering over a year’s worth of cash runway, Crust Technology is already on target to grow between 200% and 300% in its second year. Corteza, the community project founded when Crust contributed its entire code base to the Commons Conservancy in June 2019, has gone from strength to strength, garnering many thousands of users in its first year. Its goal to become “The Digital Work Platform for Humanity” is gaining momentum.

These are big statements and we count ourselves lucky, given the economic mayhem and misfortune that has afflicted so many to date in 2020. Keeping our commercial focus and development on track and on budget has been a tough but welcome challenge to date and our next steps will set the bar higher again.

Crust Targets Leadership of the Low-Code Development Market

Enabling enterprise digital transformation strategy and ensuring a customer-focused approach is a much bigger challenge than Crust CRM Suite on its own can deliver. To achieve that we’ve grown the capability of the Crust Low Code Development platform well beyond the constraints of the advanced CRM domain.

Crust CRM Suite is built exclusively on Crust Low-Code and is strong evidence as to the completeness of the open-source rapid application development platform. However, with the underlying capability of the Low-Code environment expanding so comprehensively, reaching other markets is a natural step.

Service Solution Added. Education Cloud, Insurance Cloud and HR Cloud Coming Soon

Throughout 2020 and 2021, Crust will be growing its presence in various vertical and horizontal markets with industry-specific solutions, designed in collaboration with experts and partners. Crust Service Solution for case management has already been released, while Education Cloud for schools administration, Insurance Cloud for claims servicing and HR Cloud for human capital management are in various stages of development. Many others are also at the planning stage, so watch this space carefully 🙂

Build Unlimited Custom Applications on Crust Low-Code

As of version 2020.06, all paywalls have been removed from Crust products. Customers can not only use the feature-rich applications built and delivered by Crust on the open-source Low-Code platform, but they also build as many additional applications as they require, place them in the application menu in Crust Unify and manage their access and user roles in a granular and comprehensive manner.

An Innovative Future

This year will also see Crust embark on some major innovation projects, game changers for the fields of Low-Code Development, open-source CRM and records-based management solutions. These developments will be announced shortly. Please follow us on Twitter or subscribe to our newsletter to get the latest updates!
